the issue is clear, a convicted felon dying of terminal cancer, separated from the best medical care and family...bused around the country denied immediate medical intervention. have we become that fixed in our anger that justice with mercy has departed this Nation.
the man stands convicted, now we are convicted of the lack of moral compassion that judges our Nation...
there is not argument....the man was denied treatment for cancer in the care and custody of the Attorney General of the United States....
imagine if DiMasi were black and denied immediate care rather than bused to far flung routes,,,,riots on the streets!!...

GOAL best focus on real issues and not those that distract from the every day protection of licensing that in MA appears well run by all agencies......

MA GOV WENT FOR SOLITUDE AFTER AP 15
THE GOVERNOR BRAVELY LEFT THE DISNEY STAGE OF DISGRACE WHANTABEES, PROPERLY!
every political face on the stage congratulating each other,, even us attorney...all either seeking justification for at best malfeasance, or a platform for their political agenda...the governor distancing himself from that collection of the tragic misfits of april 15...alone...away from those that will forever bear the responsibility for incompetence for the hell of that day..
in point of fact the police comm, state pd, federal agencies were asleep....
it could have been a dirty nuke!
yet they assembled, patting each other for a terrific effort, 6 cities taken over illegally by marshall law and a 19 year old injured manic muslim terrorist besting thousands of pd/homeland/swats/feds/ only to be outdone by one unarmed
American going for a smoke in his yard..
the governor had good reason to have a couple glass of the spirit of the grapes since he had been dealing with a disgraced global police/federal response by two nitwit mega evil terrorists....
a us atty and those who never protected the innocent stood congratulating each other while one America patriot ended a mega search by the least competent law enforcement collection ever assembled in disgrace...

before any closings are permitted, denying health care to the neediest, a look into the salaries of those with the surgical razor declaring the closings, must be reviewed by the media!
the prior ceo walked off with an apparent mega million dollar package of hospital funds approved apparently by the board now considering depriving beds to the neediest in the community.
what is the now salary, the real salary, of the CEO, those that manage the public hospital….i bet millions in salaries, benefits, retirement are paid by this hospital ….one that requires the answer to the question as to where the AG is in reviewing salaries of those about to cut life saving services to the public…?
as a former governor appointed trustee for ten years to the university hospital which is merged into BMC, where i served without any fees, salary or expenses, it was then the university hospital, a few trustees, including the late BU dean sanson. opposed outrageous unsustainable borrowing of funds, issuing bonds that simply could not be supported by common sense…
i would speculate this ceo is receiving MILLIONS in comp…..and i strongly suggest that the salaries of all adm officers, trustees, directors, be explored before one bed is trashed…every life of the poorest of this city deserves that disclosure and investigation ASAP!
perhaps the place to stop the financial drain creating the pain is at the top of the administration of this health care provider before one needy patient is turned away, left to pain or death! i suspect we will find the ceo salaried in the millions!
a demand by the state officials is in order now, tasked with the full disclosure of all now and past CEO's, including mega million severance packages and current draws by fiduciaries taking funds that may best be spent of keeping the poor treated with medical care and respect at this institution.....perhaps the AG begins the review today...this is the clarion call to reason...

AN AMERICAN LAWYER IN TODAYS MIX OF CONFLICTS

I SEE HIM at the trial of Captain Preston; another political trial. The unpopular cause and client arising out of the Boston Massacre. His name was John Adams and HE WAS A LAWYER.
ISEE HIM defending Sam Houston charged with assaulting another Congressman during the trial in the US House of Representatives, his name was Francis Scott Key, composer of the Star Spangled Banner, and HE WAS A LAWYER.
unlike frontier injustice where the rope and the tree were the mindset i see today every lawyer who stands before the courts as one who i see in my minds eye every time i enter a courtroom....no exceptions, none. i see those who handed me the gauntlet of justice...
I SEE HIM at the miracle in Philadelphia. The Constitutional
convention of 1787, fighting for the Bill of
Rights, the credo of American freedom not adopted until 1789. His name was James Madison and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM presiding over the Supreme Court of our Land. The architect of the real
powers of the Supreme Court. His name was John Marshall, and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM extorting the battle cry of the Republic proclaiming:
"GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH."
His name was Patrick Henry and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM at Gettysburg with tears in his eyes, gaunt and remorse, rededicating
our country to the principal of equal justice for all. His name was Abraham
Lincoln and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM, an elemental man, fighting for one cause or another and in Dayton,
Tennessee preaching the legitimacy of evolution. His name was Clarence Darrow
and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM speaking to us from his wheel chair lifting our spirits making us
strong with his inspirational
philosophy.. "The only thing to fear, is fear itself." His name was Franklin Roosevelt and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I SEE HIM in the Senate Hearing Room on Washington uttering his
anguished cry for decency. His name was Joseph Welch and HE WAS A LAWYER.
I thought of the precious monuments that they had left to their lives and to Milton's
wonderful comment on Shakespeare...
"Thou and I wonder in astonishment left
thouself a monument. Not a monument of brick and motor but one that will live, for only a thought lives."
Finally, I thought of that marvelous admonition of Holmes when almost 100
years ago, he said... "I think that as life is action and passion, it is required of man that he share the passion and action of his time at the peril of being judged not to have lived!"
we are a sight post of justice, we are the best in all the history of this planet and we are the beacon of justice....we all have flaws but lawyers correct those flaws...IN TIME!

NO FRONTIER INJUSTICE IN THE USA
JORDAN LEWIS RING • unlike totalitarian states, we try our cases in the courtroom.....ur beliefs and conclusion while important politically, are immaterial to the concept of due process; that we never just ...accuse, ...first we investigate, than impanel a grand jury, our House impeachment committee, than hearings, than EVIDENCE... since we long ago did away with texas justice, a group, a rope, a hanging.....so while we look clumsy, slow, without progress, we are a democracy where constitutional mandates take not shouts for frontiers justice, but a systematic applications of our laws after exhausting the search for FACTS, anything else makes our process wild west justice and indeed gives strength to the very targets we see as demanding vetting by DUE PROCESS OF LAW as mandated by our constititions... not shouts for justice, not defaming a whole class of government...yes the process is not as quick as under a castro , Russian system but it is the American clarion call to a process that with all its warts and blemishes is the best system of law on this planet....best to all....j
